Project Background
AEC were appointed to design and deliver a comprehensive safeguarding and security upgrade across the grounds of a primary school. The project included the installation of new 1.8m high V-Mesh perimeter fencing to secure exposed boundaries, alongside automated vehicular and pedestrian gates with access control linked to reception. A full CCTV system and external security lighting were also introduced to enhance site surveillance and improve safety for staff and pupils.
The main reception was extended and reconfigured to create a secure entrance lobby with dedicated visitor management facilities, improving safeguarding and access control in line with best practice guidance. Internal fencing upgrades further strengthened movement control across the site.
As part of the wider improvements, new landscaped planters with integrated irrigation systems were installed, supporting the school’s sustainability objectives while enhancing the external environment.
