The T Level Capital Fund is split into two elements: Specialist Equipment Allocation (SEA) and a competitive Buildings and Facilities Improvement Grant (BFIG). How does T Level funding benefit you?

Sitting alongside apprenticeships, T Levels are new technical study programmes, introduced from the 2020/21 academic year. Eligible academies, colleges, university technical colleges and sixth forms can apply for T Level funding to enhance or introduce your facilities to deliver these programmes.

Digital Technology Refurbishment & Remodel

AEC carried out a feasibility study to identify underused areas within the college that could support the delivery of T Level courses. Rooms across both the ground and first floors were refurbished to create the required teaching and learning spaces, adapted to meet the curriculum needs of the college. The Engineering and Manufacturing areas, including heavy-duty machinery workshops, are located on the ground floor. These include specialist workshop spaces, a CAD room, and briefing areas. The CAD room was fully refurbished and upgraded with new 3D printers, high-performance IT equipment, and an improved learning environment. The first floor houses the Media teaching and practical spaces, including an impressive Audio/Visual Studio featuring an XR studio screen, as well as a dedicated Mac Suite. Two theory classrooms were also equipped with high-spec computers, and a shared common room was created to support both creative and practical elements of the T Level curriculum. The overall layout was reconfigured and fully refurbished to meet modern industry standards. Works included ventilation and air conditioning upgrades, LED lighting, improved power and data provision, ceiling replacements, fitted furniture, and full redecoration throughout.
