Project Background
AEC was appointed to deliver urgent roof refurbishment works across the main school buildings at The Harvey Grammar School. The project included renewal of failed pitched clay tile roof coverings, replacement of the flat roof waterproofing system, installation of upgraded insulation, new lead detailing, rainwater goods, soffits and fascias.
The works also included replacement of the aged Georgian wired glass rooflight with a new lantern light, alongside making good internal finishes affected by previous water ingress. The completed scheme improved weather protection, thermal performance, drainage and long-term building resilience, removing the risk of further disruption to teaching spaces and supporting continued safe operation of the school.
